Top Tips for 2017:

  • No. 1 rule of the night – STAY BEHIND THE BLUE LINE.
  • With up to 200,000 people expected, it is important to have fun and be courteous to everyone.
  • Arrive early to get a good spot for your family, especially if you have little ones. Remember that at popular points along the route the crowd can get over 15 persons deep and viewing from the back is very difficult.
  • Remember that if you turn up late you WILL NOT get a good spot.
  • Take snacks and water with you. And bring something to keep the kids amused while they wait.
  • If you get the munchies, there will be a few food vendors positioned at various points along the route.
  • If you’ve got little kids, then a well timed toilet break prior to 7.30pm will mean that they don’t miss out on the fun of the floats. Expect long queues at the toilets.
  • A significant number of roads will be closed for the event and if you plan on driving into Perth, then do your research. Otherwise use public transpor
