A search team made up of 10 volunteers from the Northshore SES unit were making their way into the unit on Thursday night to assist in the search for 68 year old Javid Hosseinpour, unaware that Javid had just been located safe and well.
SES crews were responding after WA Police issued an urgent request for assistance to help find the missing man, who had been last seen in Bruce St, Como around 12pm on Thursday. Javid was visiting the country and didn’t speak any english.
Local Manager Northshore SES Nick Elliott said that the search crew were thrilled to hear that Javid had been found. “Our members train week in, week out, for these sorts of occasions. Javid is now safe and well, which is the main thing. Everyone now gets to go home happy, so it’s win win.”
