The Northshore SES unit is pleased to announce the following unopposed elections from last nights AGM:
- Treasurer – David Worth
- Administration Officer – Diana Pepper
- Training Officer – Ros Wood
- Training Officer – Jim MacLean
- Committee Member – Michael Wood
- Committee Member – Sue Hancock
Local Manager Northshore SES Nick Elliott addressed the members, providing on overview of the years achievements, finishing by thanking the outgoing office-bearers and committee members for their effort and support during 2015 / 2016.
Nick said “Our membership understands, from firsthand experience, what it takes to wear the Northshore badge. We know what we ask of our members. We know that our selection and retention requirements are higher than many other units. Being an SES volunteer takes huge commitment, and the commitment requirement continues to increase each year. The management team and I are acutely aware of what every SES volunteer give us, and we all eternally appreciative of that. Each and every member plays a critical and essential role in keeping this unit operational, and without those members we would have nothing.”
The Northshore SES unit is an Incorporated Association. Under the Associations Incorporation Act 1987, it is legislated that the Northshore SES unit must hold an AGM every year, to elect key office-bearers and committee members, and to provide an overview of the current financial position of the unit to the membership.
