Joining the Northshore SES unit

Interested in becoming an SES volunteer?

We are always keen to hear from potential new members.

Please note that the Northshore unit is currently full.
Our waiting list for the 2013 intake is now in operation.

If you are considering joining the bst SES unit in the Perth Metropolitan Area, then you are in the right place.

Due to our high volunteer retention rate, new member intakes for the Northshore unit are generally only held once a year. All potential new members must attend one of our information nights before they will be considered for membership. If you would like to come along to the next information night then please lodge your details by using the form below. Once a date has been set, invitations to attend will be emailed to those on the waiting list. The information nights offer the opportunity to understand more about what SES volunteers really do and what the requirements and commitments will be. You also get the chance to meet existing members, and to have a quick look around the unit. There are 'no strings attached' to coming along for an information night.

**Registrations now being taken for 2013 intake**

Following the information night, if you decide that you would like to apply to join, then great. Membership levels at the time will dictate the numbers of places available. Assuming your application is accepted, then a 6 week induction training course will commence. Once completed, you will become a probationary member and get to join the regular training with other members, immediately starting to build up your individual competencies.
As expected, the huge variance of employment and family situations with members dictates when they may be available for training and callouts - each member advises their typical availability on the main callout list.
Please note however, that by agreeing to join the SES you are committing to attending training (every Wednesday evening from 1930hrs to 22.30hrs) and to becoming a dependable member of the unit.
If you have any queries whatsoever about the Northshore SES team, then please contact our Local Manager, Nick Elliott, using the form below.

To register you details to attend the next information session, please also use the form below.

We will respond to your query / aknowledge your waiting list position as soon as we can.
