Interview with Dianne Williams
Admin Officer - Northshore SES

Q- What made you join the SES ?
I wanted to contribute to the community in some way.

Q- Do you enjoy being an SES member, and if so, why?
Yes I do. I enjoy meeting new people, helping the locals, and learning new skills & processes.

Q- What makes you come along to training week after week?
If you are part of a team, then attending training each week to support your fellow members is essential. Training is also a chance to get out of the house and have a little fun.

Q- Give an example of your best & most rewarding experience with the SES.
Assisting people after the last major storms in 2005.

Q- Have you had any bad, embarrassing or frightening experiences with the SES that you would like to share?
No, no yet...!

Q- Goals for yourself as an SES member, and for the Unit as a whole?
To support the unit wherever I can and to continue my training as an SES member.

Q- Write a paragraph about yourself and you life outside the SES.
I have two daughters (both married), four grandchildren - Connor & Paige 2yrs (twins), Alex 4yrs and Georgia 2yrs.  I am also a volunteer for WA Netball as a scorebench person.  During the day I work full time  as a Surveillance supervisor and enjoy any sport, including football, tennis and netball.
