Northshore SES volunteers respond to car V building

Volunteers from the Northshore SES unit were called to the scene of a serious accident recently (Saturday 22nd October), after a car crashed into a shopfront on the corner of Charles and Newcastle Streets last night. The woman driver suffered serious injuries, including broken bones.A substantial brick wall that made up the front of the building shattered across the body of the car.

Police initially reported that the woman was linked to the Scottish delegation for CHOGM, but later said this was not the case.

The woman was taken to Royal Perth Hospital.

Police, Fire, and Council crews remained the scene for some hours after the event to assist the SES in clearing the scene and making the building safe and secure.
