Northshore volunteers help in the search for Craig Puddy

Updated Friday 10th June 2010

POLICE have now called off the search for missing Mt Pleasant businessman Craig Puddy in bushland north of Perth.

Officers, sniffer dogs and SES search team leaders had been scouring bushland in Two Rocks following the discovery of a wheelie bin near a dirt track on May 30th.

But police today confirmed the search had ceased as investigations into the disappearance of the 45-year-old businessman continue.

The discovery of the wheelie bin, which was found by four-wheel drive enthusiasts near an isolated bush track, was seen as a major breakthrough in the search for Mr Puddy.

It was found less than 15km from the site of alleged murderer Cameron James Mansell’s burnt out Jeep, which police located in Banskia Grove on May 6.

Mr Mansell, a former business partner of Mr Puddy, is due to appear in Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court on June 16.
