Northshore SES calls on the Perth CLP two nights in a row
Typically, the occasions when an SES unit would call upon the assistance of a Fire & Rescue Combination Ladder Platform (CLP) would be very few and far between.
But not so for the Northshore SES unit recently when they required the CLP for two seperate callouts on two consecutive nights.
Acting Local Manager Nick Elliott said "The first job was a large fallen tree in Peppermint Grove. The canopy of the tree was certainly significant, and the Perth CLP was requested to give us elevated chainsaw access into the heart of the canopy to make the tree safe".
"The second job, the following night, was at Iona Presentation College in Mosman Park, where roof sheeting had ripped off the gymnasium. The CLP gave us unhindered access directly where required, and no doubt saved us hours' worth of time climbing around the roof using a standard RSS."
"It was a really good example of the FESA brand working together, and we would not have any hesitation in the future to request the CLP when and if the time was right".
