The 2011 RAC Channel Seven Christmas Pageant will again bring Langley Park to life this Sunday, 4th December 2011.

The Christmas Pageant is one of the most popular community events held in Perth. This year's Christmas Pageant will be bigger and better than the last, with more exciting new floats and lots of free entertainment for the family on Langley Park.

 Program of events

8:00am - 2:00pm Carnival activities
8:30am - 2:00pm Christmas Sizzle for Telethon

Christmas Pageant Parade

The parade will commence from the east end of Langley Park on Terrace Road, and will progress down Terrace Road, left onto Victoria Avenue, left onto Riverside Drive and then left back up Plain Street. The parade will take about one hour to pass any one point around the route.

Free displays and entertainment on Langley Park

There will be rides, amusements and kid's activities from 8am for everyone in the family to get involved in. Bring your picnic blanket and enjoy free entertainment on the main stage which will commence at 10.30am. A variety of food and refreshments will be available during the day for everyone in the family to enjoy.

Tips on how to enjoy the day to the maximum

  • Refer to the route map before you arrive so you know where to go on the day
  • Remember to keep behind the "Blue Line" during the Parade
  • A map of Langley Park, including the activities and Pageant route map, will be available from the information stand on Terrace Road for reference on the day. Make sure you pick one up
  • Arrive early to secure a good spot on the parade route. Make sure you bring something to eat and drink and locate the nearest toilets
  • Please make sure children get the best seats in the house and adults stand at the back
  • If you prefer to sit and watch the parade, please bring rugs, cushions and low chairs as some folding chairs can block the view of people behind you
  • Remember to take lots of water and apply sunscreen throughout the day
  • Please dispose of rubbish in the bins provided to keep our park and streets clean and tidy
