Police and SES search for forensic evidence and a murder weapon.
Police and SES volunteers are continuing to search for forensic evidence and a murder weapon following the death of a 21 year old Alessio Dirizio in his Tuart Hill unit yesterday.
Approximately 40 SES volunteers from Northshore, Wanneroo, Bayswater and Stirling units searched local roads and gardens yesterday and a further 30 SES volunteers carried out more searches within the local area this morning.
Mr Dirisio's father called police after finding his son's body in the unit on Wanneroo Road, Tuart Hill, about 9.45am yesterday.
Major crime squad Detective Senior Sergeant Greg McDonald said the death was being treated as a homicide, but the father had been ruled out as a suspect.
There are reports Mr Dirisio was stabbed, but Detective McDonald would not confirm the cause of death.
